Founded by Ron Rants, this local real estate office set out with a mission to support every need for residents and business owners getting started and growing in our communities. His legacy has carried on through his son, President and CEO Pat Rants, and his granddaughter, Vice President Danielle Rants, who continue to uphold the same values of service, family and community. They are both excited to reach this milestone and are looking brightly toward the future as their brokerage continues to prosper.

In her previous work in Alaska, Hawaii and North Dakota, Jeri Snyder managed residential and commercial real estate projects, but not at the same time. Now that she’s joined The Rants Group, that will change. “Previously it was one or the other,” says Snyder. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to do both.” Snyder’s new role at the company is a mouthful and reflects her multiple responsibilities: Commercial and Leasing Sales Broker, Residential Rental Broker and Property Manager.

Look around Thurston County and you’ll see the signs of a recovering economy. People are returning to movie theaters, restaurants and favorite stores, many with extra money in their pockets as the result of a year with nowhere to go and fewer options for spending. As the economic picture continues to improve, business expansion and commercial investments in the county are also increasing.

Recently the entire team took turns doing shifts at the Thurston County Food Bank warehouse. “It was a cool experience to get out of the office with everybody and bond as a team while also helping the community,” says Danielle. “We plan to do that more often.” In fact, the group enjoyed the experience so much that they plan to replace their usual annual outings to bowling centers or laser tag arenas with service-oriented activities.

At age 14 she began working in the downtown Olympia office of The Rants Group and after graduating from college, she returned, eventually becoming a commercial leasing and sales broker and property manager. Now she’s making another move, one that recognizes the responsibilities she’s already been taking on, according to company president and CEO Pat Rants. “Danielle has been promoted to Vice President,” he says, “reflecting the increase in leadership she is taking in the company.”
